Hi, My name is
Justin
I was born in The Foothills of North Carolina. From a young age I have loved taking pictures, granted when I was young most of the photos were of my finger covering the lens. Luckily, I have improved my skills a great deal since then.
After high school I attended my local community college, because I never really thought I could turn photography into a sustainable career and needed a fall back; I was unsuccessful. Having failed at traditional college, I settled into serving and bartending positions at local restaurants. I will never regret that time in my life, because it gave me a new respect for people (customers, coworkers, as well as managers.) It also gave me the opportunity to hear and be apart of some amazing stories from peoples lives.
After years in the restaurant industry, I heard about a photography school in Montana that could help me launch a photography career. I decided to give it a real shot. It was during my time at Rocky Mountain School of Photography (RMSP) that I learned the fundamentals of photography, as well as the tools and confidence I needed to jumpstart my business.
I have found over the years that my favorite part about photography is the journey a person takes during a session. From being shy in front of the camera to breaking out of their shell, and then seeing the final product that allows them to see how amazing they are in their way!
